Privacy Policy

1. Summary and scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile game Bunny Sim (the “App”) and the website bunnysim.com (the “Site”).

Production releases may include Google Sign-In, online leaderboards, advertising and an optional one-time in-app purchase that removes advertising (“Premium”). Features can differ between releases and platforms. The store privacy disclosure for the version you install should be read together with this policy.

2. Who we are

The App and Site are made and published by Olgun Aldemir, an independent developer (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). Privacy questions and requests can be sent to bunnysimapp@gmail.com.

3. Information we may process

Depending on the platform, version and optional features you use, we may process:

• Account information, including your e-mail address, display name, profile image, Firebase user ID and Google Sign-In provider identifier when you choose to sign in.
• Gameplay and leaderboard information, including your displayed player name, scores, simulation results, leaderboard position, settings and cloud data associated with your account.
• A profile picture, if you choose to add one. The image you select never leaves your device until you confirm it. When you do, it is sent to our server, screened automatically for adult or violent content by Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch, and — only if it passes — stored as a single small JPEG that replaces any previous one. We also keep a short moderation record (the time of your last attempt) to limit how often the check can be run. Rejected images are not stored.
• Alpha name suggestions, if you send any. You can suggest one name for each Alpha. We store only the name and when it was sent, linked to your Firebase user ID so each account gets one suggestion per Alpha; your e-mail address is not stored with it. Suggestions are not shown to other players, and they are deleted with your account.
• Advertising information. Google Mobile Ads may process an IP address (which can indicate approximate location), advertising or app-set identifiers, App launches, taps, ad interactions, video views and diagnostic information to serve and measure ads, provide analytics and prevent fraud.
• Purchase information, including the product identifier, the purchase token issued by the store, the purchase state returned by the store and the resulting ad-free entitlement. We store a record linking that purchase token to your account identifier, which is what lets the purchase be restored on your other devices and prevents one purchase from being claimed by several accounts. Google Play or the applicable app store processes payment credentials; we never receive or store your card, bank-account or billing-address details.
• App usage and analytics information, collected by Google Analytics for Firebase: app opens, session starts and length, in-App screens and events, App version, device model, operating-system version, a country derived from the IP address, and an app-instance identifier that Google generates for the installation. We use it to see which parts of the game are actually played and whether a release is stable. It is not used to identify you by name, and it is not used to build advertising profiles by us.
• Technical and diagnostic information, such as device type, operating-system and App version, IP address, user-agent information, performance details and crash information.
• Support communications, including your e-mail address and the information you choose to include when contacting us.
• Website request information, such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent, processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the Site.

We do not ask for information that is unnecessary for the feature being provided.

Premium accounts and advertising. When an account holds the ad-free entitlement, the App does not start the advertising SDK at all. No ad is requested and no advertising identifier is processed by the App for that account. Signing in is required to buy or restore Premium, because the entitlement is attached to your account rather than to a device.

4. Information other players see

Most of what we process stays private to your account. Two things do not:

• your player name, and
• your profile picture, if you added one,

together with your best score and your position, appear in the in-game leaderboard. That leaderboard is public: it is visible to everyone who opens the game, including people who are not signed in, and the stored picture is served from a publicly readable address. Choose a name and a picture you are comfortable showing publicly. Your e-mail address, purchases and account identifiers are never shown to other players. You can change the name, replace the picture or remove it at any time in Settings, and deleting your account removes all of it from the leaderboard.

5. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, operate leaderboards and cloud features, verify purchases and remember ad-free entitlements, serve and measure advertising, maintain and secure the App and Site, diagnose errors, improve reliability, answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Where required, advertising consent and personalisation choices are presented before the relevant processing begins.

6. Device permissions and platform features

The App uses internet access for sign-in, leaderboards, advertising, purchase verification and other online features. Advertising identifiers may be used by Google Mobile Ads where permitted by the platform and your settings. The App requests access only when needed for an available feature, and consent or permission prompts are shown where required.

7. Service providers

We may use service providers to distribute, host, authenticate, synchronise, secure and support the App and Site. These may include:

• Google Play and, when available, Apple's App Store for distribution, in-app purchases and store diagnostics. Purchases are verified server-side against the store's developer API, so a purchase token sent by the App is checked with the store before any entitlement is granted.
• Firebase Hosting to serve the Site.
• Firebase Authentication for Google Sign-In and account management.
• Cloud Firestore and related Firebase services for leaderboards, account-linked gameplay data and cloud features.
• Firebase Cloud Storage to store the profile picture you choose.
• Google Cloud Vision (SafeSearch) to screen a submitted profile picture for adult or violent content before it is stored and made public.
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to serve and measure advertisements and help detect fraud and abuse.
• Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app usage, stability and feature adoption.

Providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. For Google services, see the Google Privacy Policy. Apple services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. This website

The Site does not currently set its own analytics cookies or embed third-party fonts, social widgets or advertising trackers. Firebase Hosting processes technical request information for content delivery, security and abuse prevention. We do not use hosting logs to build advertising profiles.

9. Children

Bunny Sim is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. The applicable store listing provides the current age rating and content information. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child in a way that requires parental consent without first obtaining that consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Sharing and selling

We do not sell personal data. Information is transmitted to Google and other applicable store or service providers for authentication, cloud storage, leaderboard operation, advertising, analytics, purchase verification, diagnostics and fraud prevention. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, as part of a business transfer, or with your consent.

11. Retention and deletion

Account and leaderboard data is kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, the ad-free entitlement record and the purchase-token link to your account are deleted with it; the purchase itself stays in your store account, so signing in again and choosing “Restore purchase” brings the entitlement back. Purchase records may otherwise be retained for accounting, fraud-prevention and legal purposes. Your profile picture is kept until you replace or remove it, or until the account is deleted; deletion removes the stored image and the moderation record with it. Advertising and diagnostic retention is governed by the relevant provider. Account deletion is available in the App, under Settings. You can also use our account deletion page to request deletion without reinstalling or opening the App.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed. Data transmitted between the App, Site and the listed Google services uses encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, request portability, or withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a local data-protection authority.

14. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they use recognised safeguards for international transfers. Their privacy policies provide more information about their processing locations and safeguards.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when features, platforms, providers or legal requirements change. The revised version is published here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate, and store disclosures will be updated before the related release.
